THUMBELINA

We make the feel of music with a distinctive character and combined with softness in every part of the harmonization, and a little sharp distortion with a freak delay!

Originated from a college band that aims to bring the songs popularized by Paramore. Initially the band fronted by CJ as the Vocalist, Martyn as the Lead Guitarist, Giane as the Second Guitarist, Bobby as the Bassist, and drummer Iqbal. And they set the "Suka-sukA" as the name of their band, the band that often fill the events held on their own college.

Eventually resulting in a serious initiative to hold this band, but the Vocalist was not able to resume his position for various reasons. And Iqbal offered the Vocalist position to Agit, his high school friend. With a variety of inducements, Agit finally accepted an offer to become a Vocalist in this band.

And officially, on 20 december 2009 the band was set to change the formations with Agit as their new Vocalist. Then they changed their band name into "THUMBELINA", the name that will accompany them to move forward.

Thumbelina is a band that carries the Alternative Rock music whose existence is enough to bring some influence in Indonesia shows or music festivals and other musical events. Thumbelina own making in the name proposed by Martyn, was inspired by a classic story in England, this tale tells of a woman who has a very small stature (only for your thumb) went round the whole wide world to reach the dreams and ideals. We make these stories as a basis for naming the band, started with a dream and trying to make it happen just like the main character in the story.

Thumbelina tried to bring his work in music and poured his personal experiences in life, such as: freedom in love, eliminating the sadness in the hearts, emotions, etc.. By offering new colors and music concepts are fresh ears and touches the heart based on experiences we've been through the experience.

Most of the songs we picked up the theme of Freedom in Love, revolved around various diseases in our society that increasingly blinded by love. Not only the common diseases, but also a psychological illness and social ills. Because the victim a feeling of love.
